Kauwaka Workshop Refund and Cancellation Policy

  1. Application of Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all registrations for workshops, training sessions, seminars, and events (“Workshops”) delivered by Kauwaka (“we”, “us”, “our”). By registering for a Workshop, the participant (“you”, “your”) agrees to be bound by this Policy.

  2. Registration and Payment

A Workshop registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or upon issuance of a valid invoice by Kauwaka (where invoicing has been approved). Payment must be made in accordance with the terms specified on the invoice or registration confirmation. Kauwaka reserves the right to cancel a registration if payment is not received by the due date.

  3. No Refund Policy

All Workshop registrations are strictly non-refundable. Refunds will not be provided in circumstances including, but not limited to: change of mind, inability to attend, scheduling conflicts, illness or personal circumstances, travel delays or disruptions, or failure to attend the Workshop. By registering, you acknowledge and agree that your registration fee secures your place and contributes to upfront costs incurred by Kauwaka in delivering the Workshop.

  4. Substitution of Participant

If you are unable to attend, you may nominate a substitute participant at no additional charge. Notice of substitution must be provided in writing to Kauwaka no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled Workshop start time. Kauwaka reserves the right to decline a substitute participant where necessary for operational or suitability reasons.

  5. Transfers (Discretionary)

Any request to transfer a registration to a future Workshop date will be considered solely at Kauwaka’s discretion. Kauwaka is under no obligation to approve transfer requests. Where a transfer is approved, it may be subject to administrative conditions or additional fees.

  6. Cancellation or Variation by Kauwaka

Kauwaka reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, relocate, or modify a Workshop at its discretion. If Kauwaka cancels a Workshop, registered participants will be offered either a transfer to a future Workshop date or a full refund of fees paid. Kauwaka will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or other associated costs.

  7. Consumer Law

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation where such rights cannot be excluded.

  8. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
